Deep Tissue
This therapeutic work is for everyone; for people experiencing chronic pain, soreness, injury recovery, or the strain of the day-to-day.
This session will be focused on tailored orthopedic work, targeted trigger points/knots and body mobilization techniques.
My deep tissue work is slow, intentional and flowy to ensure your nervous system is relaxed and ready to receive deeper work. This relaxing yet deep and clinical style of massage is my signature style.
-
Swedish
This flowy, relaxation-based massage is a perfect escape from the stress and anxiety of everyday life.
It will start with a Palo Santo cleansing, healing music of your choice to calm the mind and spirit. Then we dive into the slow, calming work that helps slow down the breath. This massage can serve as a nervous system reset, bringing awareness back into your body, slowing down and being present.
The pressure is up to you, we can keep it light as Swedish are traditionally or use medium to firm pressure.
-
Sports
This faster-paced session is for those seeking help with injury recovery and range of motion.
This work integrates stretching, active resistance techniques, Acupressure/Trigger point therapy and myofascial work. This is not a relaxing session and requires some active communication around assisted stretches and problem-solving.
After this session, we will go through various stretches and lifestyle changes to continue your recovery outside of our time together.
-
Cupping
This traditional technique utilizes a vacuum force created by a small cup onto the skin's surface.
Cupping is used to provide deep relief by increasing blood flow to the area. This helps to soften scar tissue and fascial adhesions/knots. It works like an extra pair of hands, providing longer holds while other bodywork is being performed.
I deeply believe in the effectiveness of cupping and do not want there to be any more barriers to it; therefore, it is a free to add-on to any service.
Preventative bodywork for your body, mind and spirit.
What are the benefits of massage?
There are sooo many benefits that honestly it might just be easier to name what isn’t a benefit.
But just to mention a few… (Mayo Clinic) (NUHS Study) (Dartmouth Health)
A few of the physical benefits of massage include:
Reduced acute, chronic and joint pain
Improved circulation
Better quality of sleep
Quicker recovery between workouts
Improved flexibility and exercise performance
Reduce the physical effects of stress (tension headaches, etc)
Reduce soreness and decrease lactic acid build-up
Strengthened immune response
A few of the mental benefits of massage include:
Lower cortisol (stress) levels
Help reset the nervous system
Sharpen focus, help those with ADHD
Ease symptoms of depression
Increased release of Serotonin
More energy
Increased feeling of wellness
Society tells us that our chronic pain is normal. That our heightened nervous systems need medications to be regulated. Our own wellness is defined by physical appearance and fad-like trends. That movement is a luxury.
That doesn’t need to be YOUR normal.
There is nothing more human than feeling free in our bodies to move, dance, run, anything you desire. Feeling grounded with your core desires. That your movement flows with ease. You are empowered to live in alignment with your dreams. Holistic therapy is the answer.
About me!
Hi! I'm Liz!
My love for massage is fueled by my desire to help others feel free in their bodies and empowered to move, live and truly enjoy their lives.
I graduated from the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage Therapy in May of 2024. My love for learning never ends—since graduating I have received advanced training in myofascial release, manual therapy techniques, sound therapy, acupressure and chair massage.
Currently, I work at Athlete Generator Lab in the Seaholm District, providing Deep Tissue and Sports Massage to those on their sports injury recovery journeys. In addition, you can find me around town doing chair massage at numerous events and popups!
I love all forms of movement but especially strength training, stretching and skateboarding! In my free time, you can find me basking in the sun like a lizard, writing, trying new gluten-free recipes and playing with my two kitties, Leo & Clea-Marie.
